A place in the Champions League quarter-finals will be at stake when Atalanta and Real Madrid face each other in a highly-anticipated double-header. Gewiss Stadium will host the first leg, and it is no wonder the Atalanta are seen as favourites to win. Three teams who look like winning Liverpool I feel this Liverpool team is the toughest to beat in knockout stages. The team cannot be beaten in 4 halves anytime. The only realistic chance of them losing will be in the finals. They bottled up again. Bayern Munich won all 11 of their games in the 2019/20 Champions League. Nine of the 11 games that Bayern Munich played had over 2.5 goals scored in them. STUART WALKER – LIVERPOOL TO WIN AND BTTS @ 5/2

For Liverpool to end the season without silverware seems inconceivable given the fantastic football they have produced this term.

Despite just missing out on a first league title since 1990, Jurgen Klopp's men can gain some solace by being crowned champions of Europe for a sixth time.

Both pulled off dramatic comebacks to reach only the second all-English European Cup final, with Tottenham appearing in their first one.

But Liverpool won both Premier League meetings with Tottenham this season and have lost to their English rivals just once in the last 14 meetings in all competitions.

League

There have been 15 goals shared between them in the last four encounters and these familiar foes can play their part in an open contest in Madrid.

ANDREW McDERMOTT – LIVERPOOL -1 GOAL @ 11/5

Tottenham have done so well to get this far and beating Manchester City over two legs in the quarter-finals was a huge achievement, but it's hard not to think they have enjoyed some good fortune along the way.

They finished 26 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League, meaning they were as close to 14th-placed Bournemouth in terms of their points tally.

Liverpool's demolition of Barcelona in the second leg of their semi-final highlighted what they are capable of and last year's run to the final will stand them in good stead to make up for that disappointment.

Who Will Win Champions League 2020 Predictions

I think the Reds will be too strong for Spurs and I fancy Liverpool to win by more than one goal as the pick of the Champions League final predictions.

TONY KELSHAW – SADIO MANE TO SCORE FIRST @ 9/2

This season's incredible Champions League matches have shown that anything can happen in football, but the Reds still have to be rated as a form pick to prevail at the magnificent Wanda Metropolitano.

Klopp's side came out on top 2-1 in both Premier League encounters between these sides and there was a huge gap between them in the table.

Liverpool did enjoy a bit of good fortune via Toby Alderweireld's own goal in stoppage time at Anfield, but that was one of nine straight domestic wins at the business end of the campaign.

Barcelona were crushed 4-0 on a magical night on Merseyside, despite Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino being absent.

Both should be fit to feature here and will feature in many first goalscorer picks, but siding with Sadio Mane makes more sense to me.

The Senegal international closed the Premier League campaign with a double strike against Wolves to earn a share of the Golden Boot honours and netted away to Porto and Bayern Munich in this competition.

2019

With the quarter-finals of the Champions League wrapped up, all I can say is 'Wow!'

I mean, we're used to drama in this stage of the tournament, but this was something else, from Messi's brilliant performance and Ajax's battling displays right down to possibly the craziest 20minutes in the history of the UCL.

Although nobody quite envisaged this exact quartet to make it to the semi-finals, I have to say that every single team deserves their spot. There was little doubt about Liverpool toppling Porto, and despite a brave second-leg performance from the Dragons, Klopp's men's quality and experience showed at the end.

Manchester United couldn't find an answer to Leo Messi, despite Chris Smalling trying his best to derail him in the first leg (wink). Ajax showed us that knocking out Real Madrid was no fluke, and the way they performed against Ronaldo's Juventus proved they can compete at the top level.

But the schedule saved the best for last. There was a feeling that City wouldn't have too much of a problem overturning the 1-0 deficit from the first leg. After all, they had all their big gunsavailable, and Tottenham would be missing star striker Harry Kane.

What happened next can only be described as unbelievable. After taking the lead through Sterling in the 4th minute, City became lax at the back and found themselves 2-1 down in the10th minute courtesy of a quickfire brace from Son — and some schoolboy defending from Laporte, to be completely honest.

In fact, both teams were absolutely chaotic at the back, so they continued their offensive approach, and the next to strike was City. It didn't take them long to equalize through Bernardo Silva, and on the stroke of the 20th minute, Sterling met a low cross from De Bruyne to put City in front.

The Citizens found the net once again through Aguero in the second half and were looking like they would hold onto the 4-2 scoreline, which would have been enough. However, substitute FernandoLlorente rose above everyone else and scored a third for Tottenham.

City couldn't find another goal, and their quadruple dreams quickly disappeared, while Spurs were celebrating a first-ever semi-final appearance in the tournament.

So, we're now left with two mouth-watering ties that will determine this year's finalists.
